This “Classical Tango Topic” will give you a map to better understand the logic of tango structure. The concept seems simple: we change the direction of the turn… and we are surprised how complex and challenging it can be! :) We’ll share some ideas and exercises for how to integrate the concept, and how to “think faster." We’ll also create new possibilities using the concept, and learn “to go with the flow and let things happen without controlling them all the time.” Sounds abstract, but you will see, it is very down to earth and a wonderful experience!
- Understanding of the structure and logic of changes of direction
- Different “centers of turning” and the consequences for changes of direction
- Changing direction using different classical tango elements
- Changes of direction in the giro using rhythmical variations
