Immersion Seminar 32: Musical Structure and Dancing to Different Orchestras

Date: Thursday, December 27 - Sunday, December 30, 2018
Location: H95 Raum für Kultur, Horburgstrasse 95, 4057 Basel Switzerland
Level: All Levels
Teachers: Michelle Marsidi + Joachim Dietiker
Group size: maximum 20 couples
Price:  390 CHF per person

In this seminar we will answer some questions such as: How is most tango music structured and how can this knowledge help our musical interpretation?  What are some of the main tango orchestras, and how can we identify their characteristic sounds?

We will develop different qualities of movement that will allow us to interpret the various textures and sounds heard in the music.  We welcome you to come and discover the rich musical landscape, and to play and explore how you can interpret the music more fully.
